| Applications Motor starting electrolytic capacitors for single phase motors or three phase motors operated with a single phase power supply. Construction This series of capacitors have been designed for applications where high starting torque and small dimensions are required. Using aluminum foil oxidized, etched and formed with the most modern technologies. Chemicals with high purity, stability, to obtain a high performance, most reliable and long lasting product, in the worst working conditions, while having small and compact dimensions. The winding is housed in an aluminIum can, sealed with a plastic lid and a rubber gasket. A special rubber vent situated on the plastic lid will break open in case of internal over pressure thus preventing explosion. The aluminium can is inserted in a plastic sleeve in order to insulate the capacitor's body to prevent any short circuit. The capacitors are normally supplied with soldering terminals. Other types can be supplied on request. Protection Grade
Aluminium electrolytic motor start capacitors Total cycle time (SD) can be increased or decreased as desired to not less than half, 1.5 minutes, provided that the following conditions are met Markings. The capacitors are marked as follows:- Installation hints · When an electrolytic capacitor is used with a permanent capacitor to increase the starting torque of a motor, a discharge resistor should be used in order to avoid damage to the capacitor or the centrifugal switch. · Avoid fixing the capacitor directly on the motors body. Use a thermal shield at least 3mm thick. · When frequent start-ups are performed, place the capacitor in a position where it can have good thermal dissipation. |
